Prior to Clarke: Was a member of the track and field and cross country teams at South Winneshiek High School in Clamar, Iowa...a four-year letterwinner on the cross country and track and field teams...four-time team conference champions, individual conference champion and third place, team district champion, individual district third and fourth place, two-time indididual state qualifier, four-time team state qualifier for cross country...National Honors Society, student government, speech team, and A honor roll student all four years.
