Pride runners post quality results at Bradley Pink Classic

PEORIA, Ill. - Competing in the large field hosted by an NCAA Division I school in Bradley University, the Clarke University cross country teams ran to positive results on Friday afternoon at the Bradley Pink Classic.

In the men's 8K White Race field of 185 runners, Pride runners Carson Sansenbach, Emmett Schwartzhoff, and Bryce Kondos all finished in the top half of the field. Sansenbach ran to 77th place with a time of 27:25.6 with Schwartzhoff finishing close behind in 80th for a 27:40.3 and Kondos just two seconds behind Schwartzhoff at 27:42.2.

The remainder of the Clarke men ran as follows, Daniel Miller finished with a 28:36.4, Benjamin Vasquez ran a 29:20.6, Kole Haverly finished at 29:27.7, and Noah Church rounded out the times at 31:11.1.

Clarke's women were paced by Rory Bickler's 24:36.5 as she finished in 78th place in the 6K White Race field of 190 total runners. Pride freshmen Jaycie Franco and Trinity Kessler both ran under 27 minutes with Franco finishing at 26:25.4 and Kessler running at 26:55.1 as the team was rounded out by Isabel Manning's 27:13.1.

Clarke cross country's next race will be next Saturday, Oct. 22 at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, Mich.
