Outside Hitters Haubert and Schaad represent Pride Women's Volleyball on All-Heart Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - With the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Tournament reaching its completion last Saturday, the conference announced the All-Heart Teams on Tuesday as Clarke University's Rachel Haubert and Jessica Schaad received Honorable Mention status for their 2023 season performance.

For Schaad, its the second-straight year the senior from Cincinnati, Ohio earned All-Conference honors as she'll finish her two-year Clarke career as a two-time All-Conference player after transfering from Northwestern Ohio.

Haubert receives the All-Heart nod for the first time in her career as the junior from Plainfield, Ill. played a career high in sets with the second-most at 100 on the year while both Haubert and Schaad were two of only three members of the Pride to play in all 30 matches on the season.

Schaad led the team in kills (192), kills per set (2.02), total attacks (665) aces (38), and total points (237.0) as her aces total ranked her top-10 in the Heart for the season and her 665 swings put her in the top-25 of all attackers in the Heart as she finished the year with a .080 hitting percentage, 155 digs, and 13 total blocks in her senior season.

Haubert's 2023 was strikingly close to her 2022 season stats as she finished with 173 kills, two shy of her 2022 total, on 566 total attacks, two more than 2022, as she touted a two-way game that led the team in hitting percentage at .155 and service receptions at 561 while being the only member of the Pride to finish with over 200 points and over 200 digs, both totals ranking second on the team.

Clarke women's volleyball finished 2023 4-26 with a 3-15 Heart record to end the year in sixth place in the Heart North standings, improving on their 2022 mark of a 1-18 Heart record.
