
Pride drop tight fought match 3-1 to Culver-Stockton
CANTON, Mo. - In their final Saturday of action, the Clarke University women's volleyball team fell in a four set match to Culver-Stockton College on the road 3-1.
Two of the three sets the Pride lost were by a slim two and three-point margin as they earned a second set 25-19 win and dropped the fourth set 25-19 as the final line score read 25-22, 19-25, 25-23, and 25-19 in favor of the Wildcats.
Jessica Schaad had one of her best matches of the season from an offensive standpoint as she finished with a match-high 18 kills on 38 swings with only seven errors for a .289 hitting percentage as Rachel Haubert also tallied double digit kills with 12.
On the opposite side of the net, Culver-Stockton also had two players in double figures in kills as Heleine Filipe and Madison McClain had 15 and 12 kills respectively as McClain added a match-high 18 digs for a double-double.
Clarke women's volleyball has one more match remaining on their 2022 schedule as they'll take a trip to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for their season finale at Mount Mercy University next Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. CT.
