PARKVILLE, Mo. - Facing the top seed in the Heart of America Conference Tournament, the Clarke University women's volleyball team dropped their semifinal match against No. 4 Park University 3-0 on Tuesday evening.
The Pride fell in straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-10, and 25-8 as it was an offensive struggle for CU in the match, finishing with a hitting percentage in the negatives as a team of the entire match and in two sets individually.
The lone players in the entire match with a double-digit kill performance was Nada Meawad as she finished with 12 kills on 21 attempts for a .524 hitting percentage. For the Pride, no player had more kills than four and the only member of the Clarke attacking group to finish with a positive hitting percentage was Jaida Kroning who had three kills in the match.
The Pirates will move onto the tournament championship as CU's season will come to an end after a 16-17 overall record where they finished as the second place team in the Heart North.
