Pride women's volleyball falls in three sets to No. 4 Park

PARKVILLE, Mo. - Facing their toughest foe of the 2021 season, the Clarke University women's volleyball team fell in straight sets to No. 4 Park University by set scores of 25-15, 25-13, and 25-17.

The Pride struggled on the attack, finishing with a team hitting percentage of .049 compared to .337 for the Pirates led by the 17-for-26 (.557) performance from Nada Meawad. CU's leader in kills was Gianna Garza as the senior finished with seven kills on 26 attacks with just one error for a .231 hitting percentage.

Park's attack led by Meawad, the Egyptian Beach Volleyball Olympian, was difficult to defend for the Pride as they finished with just 32 digs and four blocks in the match. 

It will be a quick turnaround for Clarke women's volleyball as they will head to Olathe, Kan. for an 11 a.m. match against MidAmerica Nazarene on Saturday morning before finsihing their regular season next Tuesday at Culver-Stockton.
