Pride Cruz Passed Park 3-1 in Regular Season Finale

Dubuque, Iowa – The Clarke University women's soccer finished off their regular season with a four- game winning streak after a 3-1 win over Park University behind two Genevieve Cruz goals.

Finishing the regular season at 12-5-1 (8-4 conference record), the Pride got off to a hot start when Shannon Catchur's shot just went wide only a minute and eleven seconds into the game. Shortly after, Genevieve Cruz was able to get the Pride on the board off a pass from Catchur, only a minute and forty-five seconds into the game.

The Pride would go on to score two more times in the 20th minute, when Genevieve Cruz would score her second of the game and team leading 14th goal. Less than three minutes later, Morgan Catchur would make the score 3-0 off the assist from Jamie Albertson.

This is the fifth game this year that the Pride have scored three goals in one half and the half would end in a 3-0 lead for the Pride.

Seven minutes into the second half, PU would find the net when Lenvix Ochieng scored off the feed from Mikayla Knipp. That would be the only blemish in goalkeeper Faith Krapfl's day as she made four saves and picked up her fifth win in her last six starts.

Cruz led the way with four shots and the Pride were outshot 18-13.
