Pride snap two-game skid after defeating Park University 3-0

DUBUQUE, Iowa - A strong second half performance sealed a 3-0 Clarke University women's soccer victory against the Park University Pirates on Saturday afternoon at Burrows Field.

Morgan Catchur (FR/Valparaiso, Ind.) found the back of the net in the 24th minute for the first score of the game off of an assist from Genevieve Cruz (SR/Racine, Wis.). Clarke managed to fire off five additional shots over the next 19 minutes but were unable to score as they took the 1-0 lead into the break.

Merely two minutes passed at the start of the second half before Clarke got back on the board when Zoe Framke (SR/Sterling, Ill.) scored her second goal of the season off an assist from Shannon Catchur (SO/Valparaiso, Ind.). The Pride held on to the 2-0 lead up until the 77th minute, where Addy Seaman (FR/Omaha, Neb.) scored her first goal of the year off a Jayden Harrington (SO/Ralston, Neb.) assist. CU went on to win the game 3-0 to snap a two-game skid.

Clarke (3-3, 0-1) out-shot the Pirates (0-2-1, 0-2) 15-to-8 and held the advantage in corner kicks at 7-to-3.

The Pride will return to action on Wednesday, September 22, when they head to Mount Vernon, Iowa, to face Cornell College. The game is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start time.
