Pride close out 2022-23 season at Heart of America Championship
MORAVIA, Iowa - Rounding out their season at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake, the Clarke University women's golf team finished 2022-23 with an 11th place finish in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship.
The Pride's four-woman team of Halle Boldt, Gracie Lange, Camdyn Penick, and Maddie Patten closed out their year with a three-round team score of 1400 strokes.
Boldt finished with the team-low total of 325 (109-110-106), Lange was close behind at 329 (106-112-111), Penick shot a 368 (126-130-112), and Patten scored 378 (134-117-127). Each player for CU had a career-low round as Boldt and Lange's 106 scores, Penick's 112, and Patten's 117 were all the lowest rounds of their golf careers.
William Penn University finished as the tournament team champion and Baker's Mia Tovkach won a one-hole playoff with a birdie against over Grand View's Brooke Boardman's par after the two tied for the lead after three rounds with matching scores of 234.
Clarke women's golf is expected to return all four roster members of the team that competed at the 2023 Heart Championship for the 2023-24 season.
