Pride women's golf wraps up weekend at Klocke Classic

MARION, Iowa - For the second-straight tournament to start the 2022-23 season, the Clarke women's golf team posted a team score as they wrapped up tournament play at the Klocke Family Classic hosted by Mount Mercy University in Marion, Iowa this past Saturday and Sunday.

The Pride finished in 12th place as the host Mustangs took the team win in the tournament with fellow Heart school Park and Grand View rounding out the top three for team scores.

Gracie Lange had the top Clarke score in the tournament as she finished in a tie for 46th individually with Gabby Weyland not far behind in a tie for 48th. The trio of Ellie Bennett, Halle Boldt, and Maddie Patten rounded out CU's top-five as they all posted a personal-best 18-hole score over the two rounds of the tournament.

Clarke women's golf will compete next at the Loras Invite on Sept. 18-19 at Woodbine Bend Golf Course and The Meadows.
