Pride bowling wraps up 2021 with 14th and 20th place finishes at Warhawks Open

ADDISON, Ill. - Finishing their 2021 portion of their 2021-22 schedule, the Clarke University bowling teams ended Warhawk Open in Addison, Ill. with a 20th place finish for the men's team and a 14th place finish for the women's team.

The men's event had 32 total teams with the women's event touting 23 total teams for both CU squads to finsh about middle of the pack for the event. The top individual finishers for the Pride were Will Clark for the men ending in 16th place and for the women, Amber Bertschinger earned a 67th place finish.

Clark's 16th place finish ended at a total pin count of 1180 with a high game of 255 in his fourth game and his third game as his only other game over 200 at 214. Bertschinger finished with a score of 965 pins as she ended strong with her two best games coming in her fifth and sixth at 179 and 176 respectively.

The rest of the men's team finished up as follows: Brendan Holl at 51st (1092 pins), Jordan Grogas at 116th (979 pins), Adante Jones at 251st (509 pins/three games), Jonathan Biala in 260th (475 pins/three games), Alex Kubitz in 268th (423 pins/three games), Mannix Amos at 290 (287 pins/two games), and Samual Schatteman in 307th (144 pins/one game).

The remainder of the women's team finished up as follows: Mackenzie Blagojevic in 108th (844 pins/five games), Kassidy Gerken in 149th (648 pins/four games), Aubrey Kiddle in 154th (627 pins/three games), Brooke Puckett in 156th (622 pins/four games), Ragan Carey in 160th (600 pins/four games), Stephanie Thompson in 169th (533 pins/three games), and Emma Clancy in 216 (127 pins/one game).

Kiddle and Blagjojevic bowled the only games over 200 for the Pride at the event with Kiddle's 223 in the fifth overall game, her second, being the highest game score for any CU women's bowler.

Clarke bowling will be off until January when they get back to the lanes on Jan. 15-16 back in Addison, Ill. for the Kegel/ISBPA Classic before the Pride host the Clarke Invite on Jan. 29-30.
