Cardinal win exhibition over Pride 105-35

STANFORD, Calif. - A once in a lifetime opportunity came to fruition on Saturday as the Clarke University women's basketball team faced Stanford University to a 105-35 win for the Cardinal.

Stanford controlled the game for a majority of the time with their size advantage outscoring the Pride by double figures in every quarter.

The Cardinal's leading scorer was Haley Jones as she finished with 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field while adding four rebounds. Tina Ubl was Clarke's leading scorer and the second leading scorer in the game with 13 points while going 4-of-11 from the field and 2-of-4 from three-point range.

Nicole McDermott added eight points with Giana MichelsIzzie Peterson, and Isabel Manning, all knocking down at least one shot from the field and Emma Kelchen adding a pair of free throws.

Stanford had five other players in double figures behind the 14 from Jones' as all 14 players that entered for the Cardinal scored in the game.

Clarke women's basketball will return to their regular season schedule next weekend when they travel to Marion, Ind. for a pair of games against Indiana Wesleyan University and Bethel University on Nov. 12-13.
