Bio

Mercy DeRyke is beginning her first year as a graduate assistant coach for the Clarke University softball team. DeRyke started her college journey in 2018 at Colorado Northwestern Community College, earning her Early Childhood Education Associate of Arts Degree and playing softball for the Lady Spartans. In two years at CNCC, DeRyke played in a total of 45 games as an infielder with a batting average of .341 with a home run and 13 RBIs.

To continue her education and softball career, DeRyke transferred to Clarke University in 2020 and graduated in 2023 with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in middle school math as well as language arts. Playing in a utility role for the Pride, DeRyke saw action in 34 games where she hit .231 with a pair of extra-base hits and 10 RBI. 

A Tooele, Utah native, DeRyke is currently in the Clarke 4+1 Master of Arts in Education program with an eye on graduating in May of 2024. DeRyke is an avid adventurer with experience traveling domestically to 38 states and internationally to six different countries.
