Pride Wrap Up Competition at Fighting Bee Invitational

BETTENDORF, Iowa – The Clarke University cross country program closed out competition at the Fighting Bee Invitational Saturday with the men finishing fifth as a team. 

Jaycie Franco was the top finisher in either race, as the freshman out of Billings, Mont., took fifth with a time of 20:55, shaving 24 seconds off of her previous collegiate personal best. Fellow freshman Trinity Kessler clocked in a PR of 21:30 to finish ninth, while Lydia Radeke came in 31st with a season-best time of 24:19. Isabel Manning rounded out the women by placing 33rd with a time of 24:32, giving her a new personal best. 

On the men's side, Emmett Schwartzhoff clocked in a PR of 28:27 to finish 13th, followed by Carson Sansenbach in 17th with a time of 28:48 in his first collegiate 8K race. Daniel Miller and Bryce Kondos finished back-to-back at 22ndand 23rd, respectively. Miller finished with a time of 29:41, with Kondos coming in at 29:42. Kole Haverly came in 26thwith a time of 30:13, while Benjamin Vasquez finished 36th at 31:24.
