Bio

Derek Gascon is entering his second year as a graduate assistant coach at Clarke. Derek graduated from Clarke University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in biology. While at Clarke University, Derek played on the men's volleyball team where he recorded 489 digs and 325 assists. He competed in the DKV International Tournament as the libero for the 2018 USA Athlete International Team in Groningen, Holland.

A Chula Vista, California native, Derek coached volleyball clinics at Point Break Volleyball Club in San Diego and was the high school boy's coach from 2019-2020 as well as the middle school girl's coach in 2020. Derek is currently enrolled in the nursing program at Clarke.
