Pride's Stephen Lewandowski earns All Conference Second Team for 2022 performance

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Coming off of a 7-20 season, the Clarke University men's volleyball team had an individual standout for the 2022 season as junior middle hitter Stephen Lewandowski earned All Heart of America Athletic Conference Second Team honors, Heart officials announced on Thursday.

Lewandowski finished third on the team with 180 kills on the season while having by far the most blocks on the team with 111 total blocks split between 31 solo blocks and 80 block assists over his 97 total sets played on the year for a 1.14 blocks per set average.

With only 47 errors on 332 swings on the ball, Lewandowski also had the highest hitting percentage on the team at .401. His blocking and efficiency numbers made him a quality candidate for both Attacker or Defender of the Week as he earned his first and only Defender of the Week honor on Jan. 31 after a 28-block week where he added 28 kills over five matches.

Lewandowski is one of four middles between the First and Second Team as well as being the first member of the Pride to receive All-Heart Second Team honors since Nick Ramos did so in 2020.
