Bio

Bradley Johnson joined Clarke University's coaching staff as head men's and women's track and field coach in September 2019.

Johnson came to Clarke from the University of Mary, Bismarck, N.D., where he served assistant track and field coach and recruiting coordinator from 2016 to 2019.   During his time at Mary, the Marauders racked up five team conference championships and a fourth place finish in the 2018 indoor national meet. Johnson personally coached one NCAA All-American, three Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Champions, one Newcomer of the Year, 31 NSIC All-Conference performers, three NCAA DII Academic All-Americans, four NCAA DII All-Academic Team Awards and six NSIC Individual All-Academic Awards.

Before his time at the University of Mary, Johnson also coached horizontal jumps at Minnetonka High School and hurdles at Cooper High School, his alma mater. In his two years of coaching he coached six All-Conference recipients, two conference champions, one Hamline Elite Meet champion, and one all-state recipient.

Johnson attended Concordia College-Moorhead where he earned his bachelor of science degree in exercise science with a minor in coaching. As a Cobber, Johnson earned seven all-conference honors, finished ranked 30th in the nation in the heptathlon in 2013, and currently stands third in school history.

Johnson has since earned his master’s degree in Kinesiology and has also earned USTFCCCA Multi-Event Specialist certification, USTFCCCA Jumps Specialist certification USTFCCCA Strength & Conditioning Coach Certification, ALTIS Sprints Certification and Level I and II USATF certifications in Sprints/Hurdles/Relays.

Johnson is currently pursuing his master’s endorsement certification in the multi-events.
