Bio

Corey Lyons joined the Clarke University track and field coaching staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2025, joining Bradley Johnson's staff to begin working with Pride sprinters for the 2025-26 season.

Lyons comes most recently from serving as a graduate assistant for the University of Saint Mary, where he also competed as a student-athlete on the Spires prior to taking his final collegiate season to Pittsburg State in 2022-23.

While at Saint Mary, Lyons racked up the accolades on the track, earning nine KCAC conference championships, earned NAIA All-American 10 times, won a national championship with the Spires' 4x400 meter relay team, and was named the USTFCCCA South Central Region Male Indoor Track Athlete of the Year.

In his year at Pittsburg State, Lyons earned a Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association championships in the 400 meters, was a two-time NCAA Division II All-American, earned a national championship with the Gorillas' 4x400 meter relay team as that team also earned an NCAA Division II indoor reocrd as the PSU team earned the 2023 DII Indoor National Championship.

Originally from Sacramento, Calif., Lyons still trains to compete himself as he has qualified for the USA Track and Field Indoor Trials and hopes to qualify for the Outdoor Trials.
