La Belle becomes the all-time leader in goals and Cole nets 10 in Pride's dominant win over Saint Mary

DUBUQUE, Iowa - It was a good day to be a goal scorer as the Clarke University men's lacrosse team earned a 19-4 win over University of Saint Mary on Friday night at Burrows Field.

The Pride scored early and often, and it started with quick history for senior Tucker La Belle as the attacker started the day needing two goals to become the all-time leader in goals scored over a career and he did just that in the first 2:42 to put CU up 2-0 and reach goal number 53 in his career.

La Belle would add his third to make it 3-0 as Clarke would pull ahead to a 5-0 lead before the Spires found the back of the net with 2:43 remaining in the first quarter. CU would end the first up 6-1 as Conner Cole added three goals of his own in the first and the scoring barrage would continue.

Clarke scored four or more goals in every period and even held USM off the board in the fourth quarter to finish Friday's game with their highest amount of goals scored and their fewest amount of goals against given up.

Cole would finish with a game-high 10 goals while adding four assists and La Belle finished with a five spot on the night with Kurt Springli adding two goals and three asssists, Anthony Gonzalez scoring a goal, and Drew Dorenbush adding a long pole goal to open the third quarter.

The Pride will host their final home game of this three-game homestand on Saturday afternoon when they host Missouri Valley College for a 2:00 p.m. CT start and Senior Day festitivies to take place prior to faceoff.
