Bio

Bill Lang joins the Clarke University football staff in the spring of 2023 as the top offensive assistant on head coach Adam Hicks' staff to work with the offensive linemen for the Pride.

Prior to coming to Dubuque, Lang had multiple stints at both Towson University and University of Missouri where he was most recently the tight ends and full backs coach at Towson.

In 2021, fullback Luke Hamilton earned All-CAA Second Team as one of the top blockers in the conference.  Lang helped a pair of tight ends, Chris Clark and Jason Epps, each have over a dozen catches and a combined three touchdowns in 2019.  His fullbacks helped block for an offense that had all-conference selections at quarterback and running back.

Prior to that second stint at Towson, he served as the offensive quality control coach from 2014-16.  While with Towson, he broke down game film and helped coach the offensive line, tight ends and long snappers plus coordinated the defensive and special teams scouting units.

Prior to his return to Towson, Land spent 2018 with the University of Missouri as a tight end graduate assistant and recruiter.  He assisted in the creation of a new offensive playbook, assisted in drills and helped with all aspects of the recruiting process.  It was his second stint with Missouri, also being there from July 2016 to June 2017.

In 2017, Lang was an offensive line graduate assistant at Florida International University, breaking down game film and conducting the defensive scout team.  He helped coach Jordan Budwig, who earned all-conference honors in Conference USA that season.  FIU finished 8-5 in 2017 with an appearance in the Gasparilla Bowl.

Lang was an offensive lineman at guard and tackle at the College of the Holy Cross from 2009-13, helping the team to the Patriot League title in 2009.

Lang graduated from Holy Cross with a Bachelor of Arts in history in 2013.
