Larry Behling joins the Clarke football coaching staff for the 2021 season to serve on head coach Miguel Regalado's defensive staff as the defensive backs' coach.

Prior to joining the Pride staff, Behling worked as a defensive coach at the high school ranks in South Carolina. In the three seasons before 2021, Behling was the defensive coordinator and DBs coach at Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in Orangeburg, S.C. where the team had winning records in 2019 and 2020. The 2019 Orangeburg-Wilkinson defense averaged 2.28 takeaways per game and totaled 16 interceptions over the course of the season.

His first coaching stop took him to Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School where he coached the defensive backs from 2014-17 where they were the were the two-time state runners-up in both 2014 and 2017. 

Behling's playing career took place at Benedict College in Columbia, S.C. where he played free safety and outside linebacker. His Benedict College team earned the SIAC Conference Runner-Up in the 2009 season.
