Bio

Katie Langmeier-Schweigert was named the head athletic trainer for Clarke on July 31, 2022 and is in her fourth year as an athletic trainer at Clarke after being hired in 2019 as she covers women's soccer, men's volleyball, men's and women's bowling, and women's lacrosse for the Pride.

Her responsibilities as an athletic trainer include coverage of practice and games, daily documentation into the  athletic training system (ATS), evaluation and treatment of injuries, and developement of rehabilitation programs for injuried athletes, along with other duties. She is also an approved clinical instructor to supervise, help educate, and evaluate athletic training students.

Prior to joining Clarke's athletic training staff, Langmeier-Schweigert worked at her alma mater Loras College from 2016 to 2019 with her first year working through UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital then the following two years working directly out of Loras. While at Loras, she worked with women's soccer, women's basketball, women's lacrosse, swimming and diving, and track and field.

Langmeier-Schweigert graduated with her Bachelors of Art Degree in Athletic Training from Loras in 2014 while playing on the women's basketball team where she became a two-time All-American for the Duhawks. She went on to earn her Masters of Science Post-Professional Athletic Training degree from Northern Iowa in 2016 while working as an athletic trainer at Union High School in La Porte City, Iowa.

Katie and her husband Joe have a daughter, Benntley, and own two dogs, Wrangler a Bernedoodle and Oakley a Dalmatian.
