Heart of America announces 2022-23 Scholar-Athlete honorees
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - As one of the final announcements to close out the 2022-23 athletic season, the Heart of America Athletic Conference announced the Scholar-Athlete recipients as Clarke University Athletics had 67 student-athletes qualify for the honor.
A total of 1,063 student-athletes from across the conference earned the distinction in the 2022-23 season.
To earn Heart Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete in a particpating institution has to hit the following criteria:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
- Accumulated a minimum of 60 credit hours (undergraduate and/or graduate), completed at least 5 semesters and attended the nominating institution for at least two semesters prior to being nominated.
- Have documentation of the student-athlete participating in a varsity competition in the sport for which they are being nominated for.
- Student-Athletes competing as graduate students are also eligible for this award.
