Sandy Sirvid-Twedt was a member of four Northern Illinois – Iowa Conference (NIIC) Championship teams and won six conference titles during her career at Clarke as a member of Coach Rick Arrington’s women’s tennis team.
A native of Clinton, Iowa, Sirvid-Twedt recorded an impressive 93 match wins at Clarke – 42 in singles and 51 in doubles. She claimed the NIIC No. 6 singles title in 1997, and the No. 4 NIIC singles title in 1999 and 2000. Sirvid-Twedt was the conference champion in No. 3 doubles in 1997 and the No. 2 doubles champion in 1998 and 2000.
Sirvid-Twedt compiled an overall record of 93-35 – 42-15 in singles and 51-20 in doubles. She was 47-4 in NIIC matches and was a Clarke MVP Award recipient.
Sirvid-Twedt graduated cum laude and received her bachelor’s degree of human health science in 2001 and her master’s degree in physical therapy in 2002. She became a certified athletic trainer in 2002.
Sirvid-Twedt is employed by Incremedical/Lakeshore Bone and Joint Institute, Outpatient Physical Therapy in Chesterton, Indiana.
Sandy currently resides in Kouts, Ind., with her husband, Nathan, and children, Jenna, Alyssa, and Benjamin.
