Jenny Berg Thate, of Minneapolis, Minn., came to Clarke from Centennial High School, Circle Pines, Minn., where she competed in both soccer and hockey. As a member of Clarke's soccer program, Thate set many marks that still stand today.

Thate was a four-time Northern Illinois – Iowa Conference (NIIC) All-Conference selection, making the honor team in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001. The 2000 team most valuable player led the Crusaders to NIIC conference titles in 1998 and 2001.

Thate owns the school record for points in a game (9 vs. Central College on 9/9/98) and shares the programs single-game record of goals in a game (4 vs. Central College on 9/9/98).

Most of Clarke's single-season record slots bear Thate's name. Thate still owns school single-season standards in points (55, 1998), points per game (3.06, 1998), goals (21, 1998), goals per game (1.17, 1998), shots per game (4.28, 2000) and shots on goal (2.4, 2001).

Thate is Clarke's all-time leader in goals (56), goals per game (.88), assists (23), points (135), points per game (2.11), shots (263) and shots per game (4.11).

Thate received her bachelor of arts degree in elementary education from Clarke and is in her sixth year as a kindergarten teacher at University Avenue Aerospace, Children's Engineering and Science Elementary School in Blaine, Minnesota.

Jenny and her husband, Matt, a former member of the men's soccer program at Clarke, have one son, Roscoe, six months.
