Chelsea Peters Schroeder came to Clarke from Camanche, Iowa, in the fall of 2000 and left her mark on Crusader athletics.  As a member of the women's tennis program, Schroeder was a member of four Northern Illinois – Iowa Conference (NIIC) championship teams and is one of only four members of the 100 Win Club.

Schroeder finished her career with an overall record of 101-36. She was 43-18 in singles play and 58-18 in doubles.  In NIIC matches, Schroeder compiled an impressive 60-6 mark.

Schroeder won five conference titles, two in singles and three in doubles.  In four seasons of conference doubles competition, Schroeder dropped only one match, finishing 32-1.

Clarke won NIIC championships in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 during Schroeder's career. The Crusaders were 23-1 in conference play during that span and had a 59-7 mark in NIIC matches.

Schroeder was named team MVP in 2002 and co-MVP in 2004. She was cited at the NIIC Player of the Week numerous times.

In the classroom, Schroeder was a member of the Dean's List and was an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete.  She was also a member of the ITA Scholar Team and the NIIC All-Academic Team.

Schroeder received her bachelor of arts degree in biology in 2004 and her doctorate of physical therapy in 2006. She is the owner of Fit4Mom Quad Cities and also works as a neuro PT at Genesis Medical Center.

Chelsea and her husband, Reid, have one child, Stella.
