Chicago, Ill., native Bill McNally came to Clarke in 1997 from Schaumburg High School and was a key performer on the Crusaders’ volleyball squad during his four-year career.

McNally finished his career ranked first in service aces (146), second in total points (1,691), and third in kills (1,394), kills per set (4.15) and attack attempts (2,894). His numbers still rank among the all-time best. McNally currently ranks second in career points per set and service aces, third in total points and fourth in kills and attack percentage.

A four-year letterwinner and three-time national player of the week, McNally was voted the recipient of the squad’s Most Valuable Player Award in both 2000 and 2001. He reached the 1,000 kill plateau as a junior and was a 2001 Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) pre-season All-Conference selection.

McNally and his teammates participated in two Molten Division III National Championships, placing third in both 1999 and 2001. McNally’s efforts at the 2001 championships landed him a spot on the all-tournament team. He garnered all-tournament team MVP honors at the UC Santa Cruz Invitational in 1998 and was named to the 2001 Clarke Invitational all-tournament team.

Off the court, McNally was named to the MIVA All-Academic Team in both 2000 and 2001.

McNally received his bachelor of arts degree in accounting at Clarke and later received his Certified Public Accountant certification. He is currently the vice president of finance at Valence Health in Chicago.

Bill resides in Chicago with his wife, Jaclyn, and their two children, Emma and Billy.
