A stand-out on the Clarke women’s track and field team from 2013 to 2017, Krista Heim, then Krista Bushkofsky, joins the Clarke Athletics Hall of Fame as the second track and field athlete to be inducted.

Heim is a two-time NAIA All-America recipient doing so in the 2016 and 2017 indoor seasons in the 60-meter hurdles finishing in seventh place and in fourth place respectively.

Primarily producing top results in hurdle events, Heim qualified for the National Championship meet 12 times over her four seasons as a four-time qualifier in the 60-meter hurdles and a two-time pentathlon qualifier during indoor seasons as well as a four-time qualifier in the 100-meter high hurdles and a two-time qualifier in the long jump during the outdoor season.

Also excelling at conference championships meets, Heim collected 13 All-Conference awards including two seasons being a four-time All-Conference selection in the 2014-15 seasons and 2015-16 seasons.

Heim still holds three individual school records in the 55-meter hurdles, 60-meter hurdles, and 100-meter high hurdles while also being on the teams that still hold the 800-meter spring medley relay, 1600-meter sprint medley relay, and 4x100 shuttle relay team.

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Clarke, Heim has been working as an auditor while residing in St. Charles, Minn.  as she also coaches for the St. Charles track and field team.

Heim hopes the Clarke Community will remember that she was a passionate track athlete during her career and that she has carried that passion over to coaching junior high and high school athletes.
