Cody Chamberlain was a four-year member of Clarke’s men’s volleyball squad that competed in the highly-competitive Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association.  Competing against league competition that included annual matches with Ohio State, Ball State, IPFW and Loyola Chicago, among others, Chamberlain was named the Crusaders’ most valuable player as both a junior and senior. 

As a junior, Chamberlain led the team in digs (135), kills (192) and kills per set (2.70).  The following year, Chamberlain again paced the squad in digs (121), kills (168) and kills per set (2.75).

Chamberlain and his teammates finished third at the 2001 Molten Division III Men’s Invitational Volleyball Championship in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Chamberlain was named the recipient of the 2004 Ed Colbert Athletics Career Achievement Award, which is presented annually to a senior male and a senior female student-athlete in recognition of their outstanding career achievements in Clarke athletics.  Off the court,  he was involved in numerous campus activities, including Into the Streets and Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

Chamberlain was a 2000 graduate of North Cedar High School, where the 10-time letterwinner participated in baseball, basketball and football.  He played club volleyball for Team Iowa for six years.

Chamberlain received his bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Clarke in 2004 and his master of arts degree in counseling – mental health from Lewis University.  He currently serves as an academic advisor at Metropolitan State University, St. Paul, Minnesota.

 Cody and his partner, Kenny Newby, reside in Scandia, Minnesota.
