Andrew Redman
Baseball ‘15

Andrew Redman has one of the most impressive pitching careers in Clarke baseball history while balancing a two-way workload during his NAIA All-American senior season as a member of the Pride from 2012 to 2015.

In 2015, Redman was an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention as a two-way player for the Pride while also earning MCC Player of the Year, MCC All-Conference, MCC Gold Glove, and MCC Athlete of the Week. In that season, Redman hit for a .425 batting average (third best in a season at Clarke), a .509 on base percentage (school record), and a .719 slugging percentage (third best in a season at Clarke). Finishing 2015 with what was at the time a school record tying 62 hits and a third-best 50 RBIs, he also hit nine home runs, which is good for 10th all time in the program’s history. On the mound, Redman finished 2015 with a school record 1.68 ERA as opposing hitters batted for a .207 average against him, which ranks fourth all-time.

He would finish his career with the lowest ERA in program history with a 2.81 ERA, the third-lowest opponent’s batting average at .247, the second-most wins with 15, the sixth-most complete games with 11, fourth-most shutouts with three, third-most strikeouts with 147, in the eighth-most innings pitched at 144.1.

Since graduating from Clarke with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with an Emphasis in Marketing, Redman has continued his time with Clarke baseball, serving as an assistant coach on the staff as he’s entering his sixth season over the last seven years on Dan Spain’s staff.

Andrew and his wife Jordan welcomed their son Everett back in March of 2022 as Redman would like the Clarke Community to remember how he approached the game each day and how team always comes before individual.
