Alisha Kramer-Frese
Women's Basketball/Softball ‘02
Alisha Kramer-Frese was one of the top mutli-sport athletes to come through then Clarke College from 1999 to 2002 as a two-year member of the basketball team and a one-year member of the softball team.
As a member of the basketball program, Alisha earned NIIC All-Conference honors both in 1999-00 and 2001-02. She started all 24 games in her first year, leading the team in scoring (19 ppg) and three-point field goals (41) while also averaging 4.7 rebounds and had 60 assists and 22 steals as Clarke went 17-7 that year and claimed the NIIC championship. During the 2001-02 season, she again led the team in scoring, averaging 18.2 points per game, ranked second in three-point field goals (28), averaged 5.4 rebounds, had 37 assists, and 22 steals.
For her career, Alisha scored 912 points and had 247 rebounds as he shares the school record for points in a game (41) and owns three of the top 10 single-game scoring totals--all coming against Benedictine (Ill.). Her 1999-00 scoring average ranks fourth best in school history, while here 2001-02 total ranks fifth best. Alisha shared the MVP honor with two other players in 1999-00 and was the MVP winner in 01-02. Her 18.6 career scoring average is the highest in program history.
As a member of the softball program in 2002, Kramer-Frese led the squad in batting average (.414), doubles (12) and triples (4) and ranked second in RBI (25), hits (46) and runs (27). She was 5-6 in the circle with a 4.67 ERA. Alisha earned MCC All-Conference softball honors in 2002.
After graduating from Clarke Cum Laude in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Kinesiology K-12 with a Physical Education Health Endorsement K-12, Alisha was a PE teacher and coach in the Dubuque Community School system from 2003 to 2020 as she now teaches Middle School PE and coaches within the College Community Schools system.
Alisha and her husband Eric have three children, Jackson (21), Cora (13), and Enslee (1) as she wants the Clarke Community to remember that she was hard working, driven, and competitive.
